Herman Statum served as the Director of Corporate Security for a Fortune 400 corporation with multiple locations and
facilities nation wide including; manufacturing plants, distribution centers and retail outlets. He served as the Director
of Security, Auditing and Training at the nation’s largest farm and ranch retailer with over 230 branches in 26 states.
Herman also served as the Director of Information Security at the nation’s largest healthcare corporation. His prior
professional experience also includes positions in Washington, DC as the District Manager of an international security corporation
protecting sensitive assets and national treasures including the original Constitution of the United States. Herman later served
as a Senior Associate at the Booz Allen & Hamilton Consulting Firm where he played a key role in developing a comprehensive
security plan for the nation’s newest TRIDENT Nuclear Submarine base.
Prior to beginning his civilian career, Herman had a distinguished military career as an airborne ranger and special forces officer that included 11 years service
overseas with two years in combat assignments. In his final military assignment he served as the Provost Marshal/Police Chief and Security
Director at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Herman Statum is board certified in security management as Certified Protection Professional (CPP); board certified as a
Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE); and he is certified in Homeland Security at the highest level (CHS-V). His professional
accomplishments have earned Herman national and international recognition as noted authority on Homeland Security.
He currently serves on the Executive Advisory Board of the American Board for Certification in Homeland Security, and is a recognized
expert and seminar speaker on Homeland Security, Emergency Planning, Workplace Violence,
Healthcare Security, Information Security, Loss Prevention, and Business Ethics.
