H. Edward Creamer served as Director, Risk Management for Baptist Memorial Hospital, Nashville, TN until 15 January, 2005. He is also the former Director of Security for Baptist Hospital   He held these positions for the past 11 years, 8 years in Risk Mangement and 3 in Security.   Prior to joining Baptist Hospital in 1993, Ed had a distinguished 23 year career with the U.S. Secret Service culminating with his service as Deputy Assistant Director in Washington, D.C.   Ed holds a Juris Doctorate in law and is a member of the Nashville Bar Association.   In between his careers with the Secret Service and Baptist Hospital, Ed practiced law in a general law practice in Nashville, TN with emphasis on tort liability.

Ed Creamer is a recognized expert and national seminar speaker on the topics of Hospital Safety, Security, Risk Management and healthcare workplace violence.   As Risk Manager at Baptist Hospital he managed the Professional/General Liability and Workers Compensation insurance programs with emphasis on medical malpractice.   He is also a noted Executive Protection Expert.
